A rotary encoder has a shaft with unlimited 360-degree rotation, which converts angular positions and motions of a shaft or axle to digital code. It is an incremental electromechanical component. The encoder module gives output about the motion of the shaft, further this output is used to process in controller or processor to decode information like speed, distance, and positions.
