LM2596 5V Switching Voltage Regulator IC

This is a LM2596 5V voltage regulator IC, ideally suited for the easy and convenient design of a step-down switching regulator (buck-convertor).  This regulator IC is capable of driving a 3A load with excellent line and load regulation. 

LM2596 regulator IC operates at a switching frequency of 150kHz thus allowing smaller sized filter components than what would be needed with lower frequency switching regulators. It is available in standard TO-220 package IC that is suitable to use in many applications.
